This 1999 BMW Z3 is a non-M Coupe. The visibility is unrivaled and the steering feel makes the car joy to drive. This car has about 122k miles and is powered by a smooth 2.8L inline-six paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. It is completely stock with only non factory floormats. The car has remained in California for it?s life apart from being stored in Indiana while we lived overseas. The car is sold with extensive service records.
The paint: Schwarz II (Deep Black) is in good shape apart from some small chips and blemishes.
There is a small dent in one door and distortion/depression around the Kidney Grill. The front bumper also shows some small signs of parking wear. Tires are nearly unused and original wheels are chrome finish (a common dealer option in California.) Headlight lenses are clear. There is also no corrosion on the car and it was predominately garage kept.
The cargo hatch is large with a retractable cover and has a factory tool kit. There is also a retractable net behind the seats.
Nappa leather sport seats are in good shape for their age, however the drivers seat has some cracks. Gauges and digital readout work well. Interior is in good shape, though the headliner is beginning to sag near the roof-mounted speakers. The dash, door panels, and trim clean. The upholstery is peeling a little on top of driver door. Leather is wearing on the wheel but still smooth.
BMW Business CD stereo and Harman Kardon speakers are great. There is a tilt glass roof, power windows, locks, and the air conditioning system works very well.
The 2.8L M52 inline-six is stock and has no issues; having just been retested and passed smog. The engine bay shows that it has been well maintained and there are no leaks or rattles.
There is only a fault code for one ABS sensor, one wheel center badge is missing, and one side logo is peeling.
