Up for sale is my 1999 BMW Z3 Coupe. This is not an M coupe, it has the same M52/Tu that you would find in a 1999 E36 328is (193hp). It has ~119000 miles on the original M52 and 5 speed manual transmission with LSD rear end. It is Cosmos Black Metallic with black interior and the silver alu line trim, heated seats, and sunroof. I bought this project last year as a street/track project only to find out that my big head doesn't fit inside it once I put my helmet on (which is unfortunate). I also have two of them, which is too many clownshoes for a person to own. I've done a lot of preventative maintenance with some small modifications to make it very street/worthy for the next owner (assuming you're not 6'1''). It has a fresh inspection (3/18) and is ready to go.
In the last 1000 miles:
Valve cover gasket
Water pump
Right rear halfshaft
Driveshaft
Center Support Bearing
Driveshaft Guibo
Front Lower Control Arms
Exhaust midpipe stud > bolt conversion
BimmerWorld M12 wheel stud kit (so you can run spacers if you would like to)
Rogue Engineering knurled shift knob
BimmerWorld Jr. puck clutch stop
Hawk HPS front and rear ceramic pads
Front and Rear Rotors
Battery replaced
Fifteen52 Tarmacs 17x8 ET30 with brand new tires
Downsides:
It has some dings, it's a 19 year old car
The hood and bumper were resprayed at some point. It has some orange peel.
The passenger seat has the good old BMW slop in it and is missing the F/R adjustment dingus. I have it moved all the way to the rear, it doesn't bother me.
It does not have a muffler. It sounds fine, it's not overly loud (still has factory cats), but I'm not crazy about how it looks from the rear.
It's missing the fender M badges.
Someone did a rear windshield wiper delete on it at some point. I have no idea why.
The headliner is sagging ever so slightly around the rear speakers.
I'll bring the car to Cars and Coffee at Regency this Saturday morning if you would like to take a look. If that doesn't work for you, we can set up another time. I have a clean Virginia title in my name in my hand ready to go. I am not interested in trades. I will do cash, in person only. Need a loan? Great, call Lightstream They will do loans for older vehicles, I'm not going to owner finance this thing for you. If you'd like you can also have the original set of Style 32s. They've been blasted and are ready for powdercoat, but one of them is a tiny bit out of round.
Feel free to text or call if you have any questions.
