Seller Description

1999 BMW Z3 Coupe, 2.8L
113k miles

If you're looking at this, you probably already know. (If not, check out the many Z3/M Coupe videos on Youtube.) Prices on these cars have been going up as it approaches classic status and if I were smart I'd hold onto it for a few more years, but the chance to own a long time dream car has come up and I don't have room for both.

I always intended on keeping this car forever, and have been taking care of it as such: always garaged, lots of preventative maintenance done, cleaned and detailed on a regular basis, kept receipts for everything. Basically this was owned for the last 14 years by an obsessive enthusiast, and the 6 years before that by the original owner who was also an obsessive enthusiast. (Obsessive as in we both kept a spreadsheet tracking every tank of gas, for example.) I can tell you the full history of this vehicle.

Overall in very nice condition for a 20 year old car. Looks great from 6' away, but has some scuffs, as well as some creaks and rattles, as you'd expect. No major dings, dents or scratches. Paint is still glossy (the pictures were taken on a cloudy day, she's much shinier in real life!). The two items to note: the turn signal works fine most of the time, but can sometimes need jiggling in the right turn position, and the ABS motor isn't working, causing the ABS and traction control lights to be on. The ABS motor when I last checked was $400-700 part on eBay, but it wasn't something I felt was important.

Asking $13500 OBO. For comparison, here are current listings for other '99 2.8L Coupes from AutoTrader/Carfax:

105k - $14,900
81k - $15,000
75k - $16,500
64k - $15,900
38k - $16,989

It sounds like it's been well taken care of. The suspension looks to be lowered, and it also has clear bumper lights, aluminum pedals, magnetic stone guards, and an aftermarket shift knob. The price is ok due to it's great history.
