Seller Description

We are selling our 1999 BMW Z3 Coupe. We have a baby on the way (baby Sarah or Ishmael :) and this car (as much as we love it) will not be efficient for us anymore. If you are interested in the car and don't like the stickers, they are vinyl decals and we don't mind removing them for you. They will not damage the paint. FRESH PAINT JOB! The paint is less than a year old but we used the stock color. We just wanted that "new car shine". Tires are in good condition and we have all the paperwork from BMW for repairs that have been done to the car (see the receipts in the picture). We took the car to BMW for everything. We have a paper from BMW saying what needed to be done to the car when we first bought it. We have done everything and have the receipts to prove it EXCEPT the ECU. We have not replaced the ECU but we have the part and all that needs to be done is installation. There are 2 lights on the dash, the ABS & Traction Control. Both of these lights are associated with the ECU and the problem will be fixed once the ECU is replaced. We have both MagnaFlow exhaust manifolds BRAND NEW. They have not been installed, they come with the car. We bought these not because they are needed but because we wanted a deeper exhaust sound. NEW Drilled and Slotted brake rotors and painted brake calipers. Four rims/tires to come with. They are BMW brand, we bought an extra set just in case. Included with the car. This car has a CLEAN title, NOT rebuilt. We have already done the 100,000 mile service even though it hasn't made it to that mileage yet. We just wanted to make sure it was well maintained. It will need an oil change in about 3,000 miles. This car even still has the luggage cover in the hatch, very good condition. We are also selling our 2008 Triumph Daytona. 5,900 miles. Engine light is on but has never given us any trouble. The bike is Mechanically and Cosmetically sound. MUST SEE, she's a beauty. $6,000 for the bike.

Putting it in Purgatory for now because no one can get ahold of the sellers.

Price reduced to $8,000 from $9,500 which is more tempting.

This is actually Asim's (hexagone on Bimmerforums) former coupe. Here are his thoughts:

It drove surprisingly well when I had it- but had a totally trashed exterior, hence this repaint, so buyer beware. Compression numbers were 190-200 across the board which was good, but it was hit at least once because multiple panels at the time were repainted. One of the door panels is an extended leather door panel, while the other is not. I have many underside photos, and the car was dry with no subframe issues.

For any potential buyers- I would look into the history of the car thoroughly, as there was a mileage discrepancy between the carfax and BMW's records. I could never figure it out.

It sounds like it has been very well cared for by knowledgable owners. The fresh paint does look good, and the included extras are nice. The service records are a big plus, as is the aluminum interior trim. I think the price is fair.
