Seller Description

Up for Sale is my 1999 Z3 Coupe.  This car was bought as a 2.8 automatic coupe.  The powertrain (M54B30 3.0 liter) from a 113,000 mile Z4 was used to swap the car over.  It has been properly swapped with the pedal set, engine wiring harness, and DME/ECU coming from a 3.0 liter Z3.  The 6 speed ZF gearbox from the Z4 was used with a fabricated transmission bracket and driveshaft made by Knoxville Driveline.  A 3.38 LSD differential compliments the 6 speed.  Stainless headers have been added to the engine and a custom exhaust with fabricated.  Camshafts from a e46 ZHP 3.0 liter were added and Markert Motorworks tuned the ecu for the cams and other mods.  New water pump, cooling hoses, CCV hoses and valve, A/C compressor, expansion tank were replaced during the swap.  Suspension has been replaced with new control arms, M3 lollipop bushings, Bilstein sport struts and shocks, and H&R Z3 coupe sport springs.  Brakes have new stoptech rotors and stoptech sport pads.  Tire Rack TR Motorsport wheels in 17x8/17x9 with Firestone Firehawk tires compliment the car.  These have less than 500 miles on them.  The front wheel bearing have just been replaced as well with OEM FAG bearings.  The interior of the car has held up well.  Seats are not torn.  Thayer motorsports seat mod have been performed (this is easily removable).  The tilt motor on the drivers seat needs a new coupler but does work.  Dash is in good condition.  The glove box was sagging and has been removed and will come with the car.  This is an easy fix with the repair kit from NEVERDONE at $45.  Also will need the matching shifter boot as the one that comes with the car is tan.  Has business CD and Harmon Kardon audio option.  All hard to find interior panels are intact.  The drivers door handle is broken and not currently on the car.  New handles are readily available and are a common problem on Z3's.  The exterior of the car has all original tags on body panels and original paint.  The car was used as a daily driver by the previous owner so every day wear and tear is present.  Rock chips are present on hood from commuting.  There are door dings on both doors.  There is a larger ding and scrape that has been repaired behind the drivers door handle on the quarter panel as shown in the photos.  A larger scrape is also visible at the bodyline above the rear quarter where the hatch meets the body.  The front bumper also has some larger scrapes as shown in the pics.  Clear coat is good on the car and not peeling.  Car would be a great candidate for light PDR work and paint correction.

Car is sold as is.

Deposit of $500 via Paypal required at end of auction.

Also has a new DISA valve and fuel filter

Car drives well with fresh alignment after control arm/suspension install.  Suspension is just right with the Bilstein/H&R combo.  Brakes are wonderful with the stoptech rotors/pads.  Car is a joy to drive.

Stock style 32 wheels come with the car

Will need a airbag harness in drivers door.  (small connector )This was damaged by previous owner when removing door panel for handle repair.  It is available from BMW.  Airbag light is on due to this not being connected.

This is an interesting one with an engine and transmission swap. It sounds like it was pretty well done. It still needs a lot of TLC though. It could be an interesting project. We'll see what it goes for.
