This 2001 BMW Z3 3.0i coupe is finished in silver over black leather and powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a glass sunroof, staggered-width 17″ Style 42 wheels, Dynamic Stability Control, air conditioning, heated sport seats, Harman Kardon audio, and a Kenwood CD stereo. The car was delivered new to Midwestern BMW of Dublin, Ohio, and spent time in several states before the seller acquired it in 2019. Work completed under current ownership has included refurbishment of the wheels a well as replacement of the tires, door-handle seals, battery, drive belt, tensioner, door panel seals, DSC module, the side airbag impact sensor, the speed sensor, and the acceleration sensor. This Z3 coupe has 47k miles and is offered with a car cover, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in Titanium Silver Metallic (354) and features a power-operated glass sunroof, fog lights, flared wheel arches, a rear window wiper, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The seals for the outer door handles and the rear hatch were replaced under current ownership along with the wiper blades. A chip is present in the right side of the windshield. The seller reports areas of paint touch-up.
This is a re-list after the vehicle was offered on BaT in April 2022 but electrical issues arose which could not be repaired in time for the completion of the auction. The DSC module, the side airbag impact sensor, the speed sensor, and the acceleration sensor were subsequently replaced. The seller notes that water intrusion was traced to the door panel seals on the driver side and that the seals were repaired to prevent future water damage.
Multi-piece 17″ Style 42 wheels were reconditioned under current ownership and wear 225/45 front and 245/40 rear BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S tires, which were mounted in August 2020. The car is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control.
The cabin is upholstered in black Nappa leather, while brushed aluminum-look trim accents the center stack, shift knob, and door panels. Amenities include heated sport seats, air conditioning, cruise control, Harman Kardon audio, and a Kenwood CD stereo with Bluetooth and satellite radio capability. The seller notes that an auxiliary phone charging cable was installed in 2020.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 47k miles, approximately 3,300 of which were added during current ownership.
The 3.0-liter M54 inline-six is equipped with double-VANOS variable valve timing and was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque. Service in October 2021 included replacement of the drive belts and tensioner as well as an oil change. The battery was replaced in March 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. An inspection video from March 2022 notes a leak from the rear axles and is shown in the gallery below.
Manufacturer’s literature, service invoices from current ownership, two keys, a valet key, and a copy of the window sticker are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Ohio, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Florida, and South Carolina.
