3rd owner, low-mileage, excellent condition 2001 BMW Z3 Coupe. Car originally purchased in Baton Rouge, LA by an Air Force pilot, sold to a Rhode Island collector when the Pilot was transferred for an overseas assignment. I purchased the car in January '16 from the collector with 53,575 miles (car currently has 61,005).
The collector in RI kept the car in an environmentally controlled storage facility, the car has never seen rain nor snow in my ownership - it is extremely clean. Routine annual service has been performed by Karl Knauz BMW, Lake Bluff, IL.
Although the car is 22 years old, most folks unfamiliar with the Z3 Coupe - assume it's a brand new vehicle. I'd rate the interior a 9.5/10 with little to no wear on anything. The exterior is a 8.9/10 with minimal stone chips and only 2 areas (passenger-side front fender and driver-side rear fender) that had parking lot ding repairs resulting in slight paint mismatches (only visible in certain light conditions). The original wheels were recently refinished by Knauz and appear new.
This unmodified, limited production performance coupe runs, drives and stops beautifully - it's a blast to carve up any curved road and always garners a bit of attention given it's "clown-shoe" appearance. I'm only selling because I've got to free-up garage space for a new, father-son car restoration project. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck.
