Seller Description

It brings me great sadness that I am posting this listing but it is the financially responsible thing to do at this present time. I am officially listing my extensively modified 1999 Z3 2.8L Coupe for sale, it is in pristine condition and quite literally evolved into specifically a show car these last three years. (The vinyl can be removed with no problems if the buyer wishes it so) It currently has a little over 104,000 miles on it and drives like a champ.

A bit of history on the vehicle, I purchased it from a local seller back in 2008; it was bone stock outside of a set of track wheels and radio head unit. I bought it as a replacement for my recently lost E36 and had it as a daily. I began to slowly acquire parts and commence the build, starting small with tint and an oil cap. It was soon to bigger modifications where I grew weary of making it endure daily driving, I purchased an E39 and kept the coupe in the garage since 2009, making sure it was only a weekend driver. As time continued I put all extra time and savings into making it a true show car, bought a brand new hood, motorsports bumper, side gills everything to make it to where I wanted it to stand. Currently it sits as a perfect foundation for whichever direction the new buyer wants to go with it. Either track, show, or weekend it is ready to enjoy. Long story short after taking 1st and 2nd awards at multiple shows and enjoying the countless drives with her, it is finally time to move on, I don’t have the time to devote to her anymore.

I completed the build literally 3 weeks ago with the purchase of a very rare set of wheels, 1 of 3 known in the U.S.; they are 1991 fully refinished Gotti Axia True 3 piece wheels with mirror lips that are in 9 out of 10 condition and raw aluminum centers. The plan was to finish the centers into a hyper black but I simply do not have the time. They are in a very aggressive offset and her stance is incredible, plus zero rubbing even with +13 up front and +22 in the rear. With the lowered springs and camber kit up front she handles amazingly! I have truly built this coupe in a very tasteful manner and it is very much a part of me, I really hate to sell it.

KBB has recently upped the value for it as stock to $10,950; these coupes are becoming increasingly rare to find and most people have never even seen them before; if you include the extensive modifications I am listing it at $17,500 with the Rare Gotti Axia 3 pc Wheels. I know most of you will say well I can get an M for that money, which in essence is true but it won’t be modified or in this good of shape; plus this coupe comes with many extras, including brand new oil pump housing plus all the stock parts such as seats, console, springs, subwoofer box and speaker, switches, I will also include multiple quarts of BMW synthetic motor oil, transmission oil, differential oil, plus a brand new water pump, detailing kits and whatever else came off during the build. All is stored in good condition and ready to include.

The coupe gets driven maybe twice a month currently so the mileage most likely won’t increase too significantly. I have religiously had the oil changed every 3 months and any minor issue addressed immediately. This past September I had brand new Monroe Struts and Top Mounts installed as well as Brand New OEM Engine Mounts and OEM M3 Solid Control Arm Bushings installed. All reasonable offers are considered, just send me a PM.

My Comments

Sold 12/20/12 - Sold!

11/30/12 Update - Price reduced to $16,500 from $17,500

11/29/12 Update - Now on Ebay too at the same price. It's actually cosmos black rather than jet black that I had earlier.

This is one of the most extensively modified Z3 Coupes I've come across. I love the wheels! Some of the other cosmetic mods may not be to everyone's taste, but all are reversible. With all the modifications, it could certainly be worth the asking price to the right buyer.
