A couple thoughts from Peter:

I test drove this car last week with the intent to purchase. It shows better in person than in the photos. A very clean car for the mileage. It drives well. From my 20 minute test drive and a review of the service records, I would not hesitate to jump in it and drive it on a 2 or 3,000 mile trip. In addition to the listed recent service, the ERG valve was changed about 2 weeks ago. The A/C seemed weak, but functional. The radio reads CODE, the seller says due to a recent removal of a battery cable. The CarFax shows a rear end collision several years ago in Texas. I could see no visual signs of this in a look under and in the trunk area and driving revealed no rattles or other accident related problems. As I said before, it drives just like you would expect from a much younger Z3 Coupe.

The mileage is higher, but it seems to have been very wel maintained including a recent major service which is a big plus. Interestingly, the VIN shows it's cosmos black which was discontinued on M Coupes in 2001, but there are 13 2001 Z3 Coupes in cosmos black. I like the chrome trimmed interior too. I think the price is fair.
