Hello - from snowy and icy Northern, VA. I’ve been in this group for years but never posted. I am looking for a new, loving home for my 1999 Z3 Coupe. I’ve not formally listed it anywhere, this is my first posting about it.
I am not a “car guy” by any means. I don’t do any work on cars myself, and have not had the time or interest to learn some of the many things that it would be great to fix up on this Z3. Since I was a teenager when clown shoes first hit the market I always wanted to have one. So I picked this one up from a private seller in Fredericksburg, VA had a great time with it for almost 5 years, and I’m ready for someone who really loves clown shoes to take it off my hands and give it love it deserves for an extended life.
Some background info….I bought it in April 2016 with 169K miles. It now has 178K It starts and runs just fine. Automatic transmission. The body is in good/decent condition. Some bumps and bruises but nothing major. On the interior, the red leather seats are in amazing condition for the age and mileage. I doubt they are original to the car but I honestly don’t know. The power window on the driver’s side is having issues going up and down….electronically the window is fine, but the track gets stuck somewhere. I did try fix that myself, but was unable to. The rear window wiper does not work.
The passenger’s side airbag light is on, which caused the car to fail VA inspection. I have all of the service records since I purchased it, but I know nothing of the history prior to my ownership except for a few service records provided from the prior owner back to 2014 and 157K miles.
I’m happy to answer any questions and can certainly share a lot more (and better) pictures once the snow and ice clear outside. I quickly snapped all of these pics with my phone. I welcome interested parties to come have a look and take it for a drive. I’m in Northern, VA 15 miles from DC. Looking to get $6K, and not in a hurry to sell.
