Seller Description

This 2000 BMW Z3 Coupe is finished in Topaz Blue over Sand Beige leather and powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes 17″ style 40 RoadStar wheels, air conditioning, a sunroof, and a factory CD stereo connected to a Harman Kardon sound system and a GROM Audio Bluetooth module. The car was first registered in Maryland and later spent time in Massachusetts and Virginia before moving to California when it was acquired by the seller’s late husband in 2012. This Z3 Coupe has 50k miles and is now offered with service records, two keys, a BMW-branded sun shade, a Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in Topaz Blue (364) and features fog lights, clear front turn signal lenses, a glass sunroof, a rear window wiper, and dual exhaust outlets. “Very minor” damage to the front and left front is noted on the Carfax report in July 2013, and “minor” damage to the right rear is noted in September 2014. Paint chips on the hood, doors, and roof were reportedly touched-up in 2012, and the seller notes a scratch on the left headlight lens, cracks in the door handle gaskets, a problem with the sunroof sliding mechanism, and a driver’s door lock that does not operate when the rear hatch lock is used to lock or unlock the car. Replacement door handle gaskets are included in the sale.

Staggered-width 17″ Style 40 RoadStar wheels are wrapped in 225/45 front and 245/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires showing 2017 and 2018 date codes. The front struts and mounts were reportedly replaced in 2018 along with the rear shocks and mounts, and the seller states that rear spring spacers were also installed and an alignment was performed at the same time.

The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in Sand Beige Nappa leather (Q8SN) and a matching dashboard, door panels and carpets. Wood trim accents the center stack and shift knob, and additional appointments include black Z3-branded floor mats, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Harmon Kardon sound system with a BMW Business CD stereo a GROM Audio Bluetooth module. The seller notes wear on the left-side driver-seat bolster, a missing clear plastic cover on the shift knob, and cracks in the plastic front windshield defroster vent panel.

The leather-wrapped M sport steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows approximately 50k miles, 18k of which were added since 2012.

The 2.8-liter M52 inline-six features double-VANOS valve timing and was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque when new. The battery was replaced in 2019.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional underside photos are provided in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows history in Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia, and California. The aforementioned damage is noted in July 2013 and September 2014. The seller states that the personalized California license plate is not included in the sale.

The roadstar wheels themselves look nice, but it really shows how poorly they fit on stock Z3 Coupe suspension. Bidding up to $10,000.00 so far.
