Seller Description

Had this up for sale recently but decided to take it off the market because I was going to get some paint work done and keep it awhile longer. Shortly after getting a quote to get the respray I got into a very minor fender bender (see pictures). I've now decided to try and sell the car as is. Car currently has 103k miles.

Other than the cosmetic issues the car is in great shape. Starts right up and runs perfect. Has 0 leaks and doesn't burn oil. I've done multiple oil changes and not had to add oil in between. Other than the 5th gear lean when cold the trans shifts great with no grinds. The brakes work great. The engine runs smoothly without a hiccup. I was under the car on a lift recently and I could see no signs of subframe or diff mount failure.

The car has had 2 owners before me and you can tell the car was well taken care of. I have full service history and the last owner was a BMW tech who actually serviced the car when the original owner brought it into the dealer for work. I had a PPI done on the car by The M Shop in Eagle Rock before I purchased the car and the owner of the shop stated that the car was very well cared for and he wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country. 18 months later I still wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country.

Things wrong or needed:
Passenger side seat heater does not work
Air bag light came on after someone moved the seat all the way back
Windshield washer pump does not work
Has 5th gear lean when cold (only does this in the morning and goes away after 10-15 minutes of driving)
Drivers side seat shows wear on lower bottom bolster above controls and on seat bottom
Passenger side rear wheel bearing (I can faintly hear it)

Things I've replaced over the last 18 months:
Front rotors and carriers were replaced with larger units from the 3.0
Front Akebono Euro pads
Front brake sensor
M Coupe strut's/dampers/springs & 5mm spring pads in the rear
JTD rear shock mounts
Vanos seals (beisan)
Vanos anti rattle kit (beisan)
Vanos feed line
Power steering low pressure line
Valve cover gasket (NO LEAKS!!!!)
Grom USB interface
Transmission gear oil (neosynthetic)
Differential gear oil (neosynthetic)
Whalen seat bushings (passenger side only)
Battery
Both belts
Fuel filter

Asking $8,500!

I also have some parts that that are not installed that I will sell with it if the buyer is interested for an extra cost:
Complete M Coupe black leather center console with boomerangs in excellent condition (no guages, no chrome trim & no HVAC controls)
KW V1 Z3M Coupe Coilovers (BRAND NEW IN THE BOX!!)
IE rear subframe bushings (BRAND NEW IN PACKAGE)
VAC Motorsports weld in camber & toe kit (BRAND NEW IN PACKAGES)
Vorshlag camber plates (used but in good working condition)

I will only sell these parts separately after the car has sold.

A few more updates:

Just recently bought a set of BFG KDW tires but got a really good deal on a set of new Yokohama ADVAN A048 tires and will have them installed by the end of this week!
I purchased a complete black leather M center console and will be installing the black leather boomerangs with the black plastic shifter surround and black HVAC surround along with the updated later model switches here shortly. I'll also be installing VDO View Line Onyx oil pressure and oil temp guages. I went with these gauges because they have black faces with white needles like my stock coupe cluster gauges. Also because they don't have chrome trim rings and I would like to keep the cabin as chrome free as possible.
Made an appointment at a paint shop to get an estimate to have the front/rear bumper and whole passenger side resprayed because of cosmetic flaws (no accident damage) and will likely have this work done within the next month. Once this is completed I will likely raise my price or take it off the market for a while considering I don't think my price would be priced accordingly to the market.

Update from the seller:

Added current pics of interior
Did a quick wipe down on the seats. The pics are before I put any conditioner on them to show the condition as best as possible. I never noticed before but the drivers side seat has had the bolster replaced previously. I posted a pic showing the texture and slight color difference. The seat base on the drivers side could use some reconditioning in my opinion.

From the seller:

I'm currently in the process of replacing the vanos seals and other parts I listed above. I should have this work done within the next 2 weeks.

The seller is obviously very familiar with the car and is very honest about it's short comings. With a little aesthetic TLC, this would be an amazing coupe. I think the price is pretty good.
