Overall the car is in wonderful condition. It has been garaged and the condition certainly reflects that. Leather shows almost no wear, chipping/pitting on the nose is extremely minimal, paint shines like new with no clear coat failure anywhere. Mechanically, the car has always been maintained and maintenance is current. Oil changes, brake fluid flush, gear box fluid, coolant, etc are all current. Car is located in TN and this is definitely a car you could drive home anywhere in the US without issues. A/C blows cold, heat blows hot, radio sounds great, sunroof works, seats work, wiper work, lights/indicators work, horn works, all interior lights work, glove box doesn't sag, etc.

The only known issues are minor and seem to be common for Z's and I'll list them all:
- passenger seat shifts fore and aft slightly. Apparently this is common and due to the factory seat bushings wearing out. I have new Whalen delrin seat bushings for the driver and passenger seats but haven't installed them. This is a DIY fix and looks like it should take a couple hours with simple hand tools.
- if you drive the car hard (like close to redline) sometimes the check engine light will come on. This happened when I first purchased the car so I took it to a local BMW specialty shop (owner also has a supercharged coupe). They could find no issues, but did note the standard VF tune is quite rich at high rpms which could certainly be the issue.
- windows work perfectly but when all the way up and begin downward travel, they sometimes make a "pop" sound, same with down to up travel. From what I've read, the tracks either need to be greased or the plastic clips need replacing. The clips aren't expensive but I've never had much luck removing interior pieces so haven't addressed this issue.
- the shift pins in the trans are "sticky" for @ the first 5 minutes of driving. This is very common and can be fixed but you must take the trans out to do the repair. I was waiting until the clutch needed replacement but haven't reached that point yet. This repair adds a couple hundred dollars to a typical clutch job if paying a shop to do all the labor.
- when I purchased the car I was told the wiper fluid reservoir leaks. I've never poured fluid in it so assume that to be true.

If you have any questions please contact me at twellinghurst@thomasnelson.com or I can provide a telephone number if you'd like to talk. I've bought and sold many cars and will be 100% forthright. Car gets 20 mpg, has clear TN title, no liens, and in my name.

One interesting thing I just noticed is that the VIN shows Extended Wood Trim while the photos of the coupe show just the normal wood trim.

I have not come across too many supercharged Z3 Coupes. Seems to be in great shape for the mileage, especially the driver seats. None of the issues mentioned are anyting uncommon or worrisome, but you will have some work to do if you buy it. The price is probably fair.
