This 2000 BMW Z3 2.8 coupe has 52k miles following the selling dealer’s purchase on BaT in July 2025, and subsequent work included refinishing the front bumper cover and 17″ Style 18 alloy wheels, repainting portions of the engine bay, touching up the rear bumper cover, and replacing the headliner and driver’s seat mounting bushings. Powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, the car is finished in Alpine White over beige leather upholstery. The car is finished in Alpine White (300) and features a power-operated glass sunroof, fog lights, flared wheel arches, a rear window wiper, front fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. An AutoCheck report for the car is shown in the photo gallery, and it lists a “minor accident or vehicle damage reported” in August 2005, though no additional information is available. Previously installed paint protection film and decals were removed from portions of the body under current ownership. The front bumper cover was subsequently refinished, and the rear hatch roundel was replaced. Touched-up scratches are noted on the corner of the rear bumper cover. The cabin features two bucket seats trimmed in beige Nappa leather, and matching leather extends to the door panel inserts. Amenities include a BMW Business CD stereo, cruise control, and air conditioning. An ECS Tuning glovebox reinforcement kit was installed in June 2025, and work under current ownership consisted of replacing the headliner and driver’s seat mounting bushings. Creases and wear are visible on the outer driver’s seat bolsters, imperfections are shown on the center console around the cup holders, and the storage net in the right footwell is loose.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 155-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,200-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 52k miles. The airbag warning light is illuminated.
The 2.8-liter M52TUB28 inline-six was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. A Dinan strut tower brace spans the engine bay, and the cooling fan clutch was replaced in 2023. The air conditioning system was recharged and the compressor was replaced in June 2025, and the engine bay was repainted under current ownership to address paint damage from cleaning chemicals, according to the selling dealer.
